The Elekon Batlogger M2 Microphone Stereo is designed for researchers and wildlife enthusiasts who want more precise bat detection and analysis. With two MEMS microphones positioned on both sides of the device, bat calls can be recorded in stereo, making it easier to identify the direction of movement in real time.
The omnidirectional MEMS microphones support frequencies from 10 to 192 kHz, allowing detailed recording of ultrasonic bat sounds. Stereo headphones are recommended to experience the full stereo effect.
When a trigger event is detected, both microphones record simultaneously, creating a single stereo audio file with two channels. These recordings can be analyzed in BatExplorer or other software supporting stereo audio files.
The module also includes integrated temperature and humidity sensors. The microphone is easy to replace and fully compatible with all BATLOGGER M2 detectors running firmware version 1.5.0 or newer.
