Designed by ornithologists, this wooden nesting box is perfect for a pair of starlings or woodpeckers. Starlings can breed twice a year, from April to July. They feed their young exclusively on insects, up to 300 times a day, and they diligently gather everything that moves on the ground, even capturing creatures like hedgehogs, lizards, or snails. In August, when they gather in large flocks, both adult birds and young ones can cause damage to small fruits. But what can you do? There's less insects around by that time and more hungry beaks. During the nesting period, starlings also delight with their interesting songs and imitations of other bird species.
