This bat box is suitable for a reproduction colony of crevice-roosting bat species, particularly designed for the barbastelle bats, but it can also be used by other species that use crevice roosts. The box provides a safe home for a group of females with their young. You can place it on a tree, house, garden shed, or summer house. The specific design does not allow birds to occupy the box. Since all bat species in Slovakia are legally protected, it is essential to minimize disturbance. The box is not treated with surface coatings, but you can paint it with water-soluble paint to extend its life. The box comes with recommendations on how to correctly place it.
If you order a larger quantity of bat boxes than is currently in stock, we will produce them within 1-2 weeks.
Placement: On a tree or the wall of a building, at a minimum height of 3 meters. There should be an open space in front of the box, and it is not suitable to place it in the dense crown of a tree.

Maintenance: The bat box does not require cleaning - bat droppings fall out of the lower slots.
